My Skincare Routine


As a young girl, my mom always told me that I need to take care of my skin! She’s completely right…because she’s 53 years old with the prettiest skin. Don’t get me wrong I have my breakouts from sweating or being a girl – it just happens (ANNOYING, right?) BUT, it’s super important to take the time out of your mornings or evenings for your skin routine. 

I'm so obsessed with Pixi Beauty products! These five products can all be used in the morning and the evening. I know for me the best time to do all five steps is at night after my shower. My pores and face are the cleanest and overnight the products do their THING!

***Make sure there’s nothing left on your face for the best results***

***Only use coin size amounts of each product! Less is more!***

1) Glow Tonic Cleanser – use for about 30 seconds on a damp face and then rinse off

2) Glow Tonic Toner-helps clean out your pores

3) Glow Tonic Serum- lightweight serum to help hydrate your skin

4) Glow Tonic pH gel- assist with balancing your skin out

5) Glow Tonic Roll On Moisturizer- can be used on your face and lips before you apply your makeup

At-Home Workouts

Easy At-home workouts

Now that I have shared my journey with you all about my 10 weeks of dairy free, carb free, sugar free, and alcohol free...I want to share with you my at-home workouts I do three times a week! I started prioritizing this on my google calendar with alerts to make sure I do it, as it makes me feel so much better and keeps me motivated! I typically work 6-7 days a week so ideally having a gym membership wouldn't be of use for me. So, I started to develop these sequences for toning that I can do at the convenience of my own home! It's so worth it <3 

Lower Body 

  • 20 Sumo Squats
  • 40 Leg Raises (R+L)
  • 20 Deep Lunges (R+L)
  • 20 Back Leg Lifts aka Donkey Kicks (R+L)
  • 20 Side Leg Lifts aka Dog on a Hydrant (R+L)
  • 20 Inner Thigh Lifts (R+L)
  • ***Do this sequence three times for best results***


  • 10 Crunches
  • 10 Bicycles
  • 10 Mountain Climbers
  • 10 V-Ups (R+L)
  • 10 Dynamic Planks
  • 10 Knee Crosses
  • 10 Toe Touches
  • 10 Crunch Claps
  • 10 Leg Lifts

Lifestyle Change

Do you ever feel sluggish after you eat? Does your stomach feel super bloated? Do you have skin breakouts when you eat certain foods? Well, I can say "yes" to all those questions.

A bit of background on my eating habits, I have been a vegetarian for nearly 12 years so naturally my choice of foods are a bit more on the healthier side. Adding to that, being a dancer and just an active person, I was always more keen on eating better especially after sharing with you my struggle of an eating disorder. I had to realize I needed to feed my body so I can continue to dance and do all the things I want to do. I know that NOW, but during those four years of not treating my body well really effected by overall health. Especially, as a dance teacher, I'm a role model for all the children I come across as they are super observant at any age. I want to be a good example! 

Back in November, I was struggling with more stress and anxiety than normal, which caused me to skip meals, only eating once a day because I had no appetite, and breakouts. I noticed when consuming breads, pastas, and cheeses, my skin would have breakouts. AND, let me tell you those items are my WEAKNESSES!  Growing up, every Sunday was an Italian feast so I'm sure you can see how this was difficult to give up!

Luckily, I enjoy products that don't contain any soy, dairy, or gluten as some people struggle with the taste or lack of taste it might not have. I had decided to cut out carbohydrates, alcohol, and dairy. I wouldn't say it was a diet, but more of a lifestyle change. I switched all my yogurts, milks, creamers, and cheeses to dairy-free items that use almond milk. Then, in regards to carbohydrates, I've been using cauliflower based items. AND, I have to say I feel so much better. My skin, my stomach, and overall energy took a shift. It's definitely has helped me as after the holidays my work schedule basically doubles. 

It's the craziest thing on how what we consume can really effect our bodies. We all react differently to certain foods and that's why there's food allergies out there. I truly just wanted to feel good again and not feel like a hippo after I ate. I'm like this is not normal! 

I wanted to share this journey with you to hold myself accountable! Originally, I had decided to do this for three months (my birthday), but I think this is how I want to continue my every day lifestyle.
